In November of 2006, there was a very bad flood that ruined homes and killed two people. Maybe it wasn't as bad as Katrina but for my small rural communities, it was devastating. Many homes were washed away and as I said two people died as a result. The property damage was more than I can estimate and I have not seen much help from FEMA. The President declared a Disaster so why do the people have to borrow money from SBA and pay back for their own property loss? FEMA has recently declared the loss for our area as Negligible. That is not true! Since they declared so many people as not eligible for aid they decide we weren't all that bad off.

The truth of the matter is many people did not want to take out a loan to replace or repair damages caused by the flood only to have to pay back what should have been giving by the US Government. I am a disabled woman and I was forced to move from my rental home as a direct result of the flood. I was given two months of emergency aid but since the water did not get in the mobile FEMA doesn't cover any other help.

After six months of fixing up the new rental, the owners now want me to move since I repaired all the plumbing. I have nowhere to go on my SSI> I have decided to fight for myself and others who have been injured in anyway. If any one has ideas Please let me know.
